A one-time reminder is fine for picking up groceries. But most of the things you need to remember happen more than once. Medication every morning. Team standup three days a week. Rent on the first of the month. A dentist appointment every six months. Other apps either give you a handful of basic repeat options or bury you in configuration screens. Oakminder does both well: quick presets for the patterns most people use, and full control when your schedule doesn’t fit a template.

Presets and custom rules

Tap Repeat when creating or editing a reminder and you’ll see a list of common patterns. Pick one and you’re done.

Daily

Every day at the same time (medication, standup meetings, study sessions). Medication, daily reviews, journaling.

Weekdays

Monday through Friday only. Standups, work routines, commute reminders.

Weekends

Saturday and Sunday only. Grocery runs, meal prep, weekend errands.

Weekly

Once a week on the same day (grocery runs, meal prep, team meetings). Laundry, team syncs, recurring calls.

Biweekly

Every two weeks. Paycheck reminders, 1-on-1 meetings, biweekly reports.

Monthly

Same day each month (rent, subscriptions, monthly reviews). Rent, credit card payments, subscription renewals.

Every 3 months

Quarterly. Business reviews, estimated tax payments, oil changes.

Every 6 months

Twice a year. Dentist appointments, car insurance, deep cleaning.

Yearly

Once a year. Birthdays, anniversaries, annual renewals.

Custom recurrence rules

If none of the presets fit, tap Custom to build your own rule. You can combine any of these options:
SettingWhat it doesExample
Base frequencyHow often it repeatsEvery 3 weeks
Specific daysWhich days of the weekMon, Wed, Fri
Days of the monthWhich dates1st and 15th
Position in monthWhich week occurrenceLast Friday of every month
Specific monthsWhich monthsMarch and September only
Day typesWeekday vs weekendFirst weekday of every month
You can combine these however you need. If your schedule follows a pattern, Oakminder can match it.
The repeat picker combines the best of both worlds: common presets you can tap in one second, and a custom builder for anything else.

End conditions

Every recurring reminder can run forever or stop on your terms:
End typeHow it works
NeverKeeps repeating indefinitely
On a specific dateStops after a date you choose

3

Save and you’re done. Future reminders in the series appear automatically on your calendar.
you can also create recurring reminders by voice. just say “remind me to take out the trash every tuesday at 7pm” and the agent sets up the whole series.

Editing recurring reminders

When you edit a recurring reminder, Oakminder asks which ones to change:
Changes apply only to the selected reminder. Every other reminder in the series, past and future, stays exactly as it was.
Changes apply from the selected reminder onward. Past reminders keep their original values. Oakminder splits the series at that point so earlier occurrences stay intact.
Changes apply to every reminder in the series, past and future.
When editing multiple reminders at once (“this and future” or “all”), due date changes are skipped to keep your schedule stable. Title, description, category, and time-of-day changes still carry through.

Deleting recurring reminders

The same three options apply when deleting. Remove just one occurrence, clear everything from a point forward, or delete the entire series. You always choose.
Deleting “this one only” skips that single occurrence. The rest of the series continues as normal.

Completing reminders

Each occurrence in a recurring series is independent. Completing today’s reminder does not affect tomorrow’s. Mark Monday’s standup as done, and Tuesday’s is still waiting for you.
Completions are tracked individually. Your history stays accurate across the entire series, so you always know which ones you finished and which ones you missed.
Recurring reminders work with custom snooze. Snooze today’s occurrence and it only affects today. Tomorrow’s notification fires on schedule as usual.

Everything syncs

Create a recurring reminder on your phone and it shows up on every other device. Complete one occurrence on your tablet and your phone already knows. Edit the series, delete an occurrence, snooze one for later. Every action syncs across all your devices in real time.
