No other reminder app lets you snooze with custom durations directly from a notification. That’s the feature i built this app around.
How it works
Receive a reminder notification
When your reminder fires, a notification appears on your lock screen or notification center.
Long-press or expand
Long-press the notification (or swipe down on it) to reveal the snooze action buttons.
Default snooze presets
Oakminder comes with five quick-tap presets on your notifications:| Duration | When to use |
|---|---|
| 5 minutes | Quick pause, you’ll get to it right away |
| 15 minutes | Short delay for finishing a task |
| 30 minutes | Need a bit more time |
| 1 hour | Busy right now, remind me later |
| 2 hours | Push it to the afternoon or evening |
Why snooze from notifications?
Other reminder apps make you unlock your phone, open the app, find the reminder, and then reschedule it. That’s four steps when you’re already busy. With Oakminder, you long-press the notification, tap a duration, and you’re done. Two seconds, back to what you were doing. You never leave the lock screen.Snooze presets apply to all notifications globally because of how phone notification systems work. You can change which presets appear in Settings > Snooze Presets.
Custom snooze picker
The presets cover common situations, but your schedule isn’t always common. Open Oakminder, tap the reminder, and use the custom snooze wheel picker to set the exact minutes you need. 3 minutes, 47 minutes, 2 hours and 15 minutes. Whatever works for your situation.Snooze from the notification or from the app. Either way, it syncs across every device you own in real time. One snooze action and all your devices are up to date.
